What negative impact do HEAVY metals have on our bodies?

Updated: Sep 4

My name is Dr. George J. Georgiou (Greece).

I have been working in medicine for over 30 years and I owe my fame mainly to my work as a researcher in toxins and heavy metals.

In today's society, we are bombarded with toxins. Excess toxins hinder nutrient absorption and the functioning of our systems. This overload of toxins is truly making us sick.

In 2002, I was approached by a metal foundry. The director was looking for a natural detoxification product for his staff and wanted to have it developed.

After three years of intensive research, I discovered HMD™, the “magic formula” that is effective in eliminating all tested heavy metals.

HMD™ is a scientifically proven heavy metal detox supplement. Naturally based and 100 percent chemical-free.

Natural foods and nutrients are vital. But eliminating toxins is just as important. This last point is often overlooked.

My heavy metal detox products are designed to complement a healthier lifestyle. They are intended to prevent or cure chronic diseases.

Facts about toxicity

Toxic metals are everywhere—these toxicity facts show you how best to protect yourself. The air we breathe, the food we eat, the water we drink, in our homes and offices—toxins are everywhere!

Heavy metals are highly toxic and poisonous. You'll find them in food, cooking utensils, dental fillings, vaccinations, medications, air, paints, chemicals, soaps, etc.

Everyone has to deal with it

Lead, mercury, arsenic, cadmium, and aluminum are just a few of the toxic heavy metals we're regularly exposed to. Many people also have amalgam fillings, which contain mercury, which enters our bodies every time we chew.

These toxins accumulate in the body, damaging cells and tissues and causing disease. Migraines, allergies, fatigue, mood swings, depression, irritable bowel syndrome, and joint pain are examples of the chronic conditions that can be caused by toxic heavy metals in the body. Serious diseases such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's are also linked to metal toxicity.

Moreover, many toxins are highly carcinogenic. The rising number of (breast) cancers is often attributed to the increasing amount of toxins in our environment. Did you know that we are currently exposed to more than 100,000 toxins, with at least 1,000 new ones emerging every year?

The fact is, we ingest them daily! Everyone. From newborn babies to adult Inuit. Toxins affect us all. There seems to be no escape, but there is a solution: regularly removing toxins. But you can't just buy the necessary remedy at the pharmacy.

Some toxic metals also prevent the absorption of vital minerals and vitamins such as magnesium, zinc, iron, or vitamins B6 and B12. At least 20% of Americans have been found to have mineral and/or vitamin deficiencies, and heavy metals exacerbate this problem.

Studies have also shown that heavy metals cause the production of free radicals such as superoxide ions, hydrogen peroxide, and hydroxyl radicals. These free radicals can cause neurological and immune damage, damage your DNA, and lead to chronic autoimmune diseases and illnesses.

Research has also shown that heavy metals and other toxins mimic hormone molecules and disrupt the hormonal system. In women, they can mimic the effect of estrogen and have been scientifically linked to an increase in the incidence of breast cancer.

What are toxins?

Toxins are heavy metals and chemicals that are harmful to our bodies. Mercury, lead, arsenic, aluminum, and pesticides are just a few examples.

These substances are commonly called xenobiotics.

from Greek:

xeno = strange

biotics = bodies.

These foreign substances are toxic to our systems: they prevent cells from functioning properly and we become ill.

How do toxic metals affect our bodies?

Toxic metals poison our bodies and interfere with proper cell function, hormone levels, and cell production, and can cause chromosomal damage that leads to cancer development. It's no coincidence that so many diseases have dramatically increased in recent years, while ever more toxins are released into the environment.

Toxins affect all parts of the body. We only notice the effects when our system is already compromised and we begin to experience symptoms. Our symptoms list common illnesses related to toxins in the body.

Different toxins affect our bodies in different ways. Metals such as mercury, cadmium, lead, and tin affect chemical synaptic transmission in the brain and the peripheral and central nervous systems. They have also been shown to disrupt brain and cellular calcium levels and have been linked to degenerative diseases of the central nervous system, kidney disease, and osteoporosis.

Which heavy metals cause which diseases?

-Cancer: Mercury, Arsenic, Aluminum, Uranium, Nickel

One of the best-documented properties of certain heavy metals is their carcinogenic [cancer-causing] effect. Some doctors estimate that up to 80% of cancers are caused by environmental factors, such as toxins and heavy metals.

Autism: Autism has been described as a "new form of mercury poisoning" because mercury poisoning causes autism-like symptoms in children. Children with autism typically have high mercury levels, which is thought to be a significant contributor to the disease. In recent years, the number of autism cases has increased dramatically (by more than 400%). This has been linked to the use of thimerosol in vaccines. Thimerosol contains 50% mercury and is highly toxic.

Alzheimer's: aluminum, mercury

Parkinson's: mercury

Heart disease: arsenic, uranium, antimony, nickel

Kidney diseases: mercury, lead, thallium, uranium, cadmium

Liver failure: tallium, uranium, cadmium, antimony

Lungs and respiratory diseases: arsenic, antimony, nickel

Of course, the list is almost endless. Some metals and toxins can also cause bone diseases, blood disorders, or strokes.

Besides these serious illnesses, minor ailments are also often caused by all those toxic, heavy metals that have accumulated in our bodies over time:

Nausea / bloating

Migraine / headache

Chronic fatigue

Allergies / Depression / Mood swings

Insomnia / Painful joints

Muscle twitching / Poor circulation

This is what the statistics say

• About 40% of all pregnancies now end in miscarriage.

• Breast cancer rates have tripled over the past four decades. More than 40,000 American women and more than 410,000 women worldwide die from breast cancer each year!

• 5 to 10% of American couples are infertile.

Autism, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADD and ADHD) among children have increased fivefold in recent years. This means that a child today is five times more likely to have autism than just a few years ago.

• Other forms of cancer, such as testicular and prostate cancer, and diabetes and heart disease, are also on the rise.
