Foreword

There are 3 naturopaths who have done a lot of research on iodine and that is Dr. Edward Group (Global Healing) and Dr. David Brownstein and

Dr. Mark Sircus.

According to Dr. David Brownstein, you can't produce hormones if you have an iodine deficiency. He's a true expert on iodine. He tested over 10,000 patients, and most of them were iodine deficient.

And Dr. Mark Sircus writes in his book that iodine contributes to the formation of testosterone and in women this supports a healthy libido.

Dr. Edward Group 's research shows that every cell uses iodine. Iodine is essential for every cell, for cell production.

What is iodine?

A chemical element with atomic number 53 and symbol I, iodine occurs as a purple-black solid or as a purple vapor when it is a gas. There are 37 known isotopes, and all are radioactive except I-127, the form found in foods and supplements.

Iodine is a trace element due to its rarity. The human body needs iodine but cannot produce it itself; therefore, it is also called an essential nutrient. This means that people must eat foods high in iodine or take supplements to prevent iodine deficiency.

Iodine and the thyroid gland

Dr. Edward Group: The body uses iodine to produce thyroid hormones, which influence brain development and function, metabolism, and other processes. Although thyroid hormones are found throughout the body, elemental iodine can only be absorbed by thyroid and breast tissue cells via a "sodium iodide symporter" molecule.

The thyroid gland, a bow-tie-shaped gland in the neck, absorbs iodine from the blood and produces two hormones, T3 (triiodothyronine) and T4 (thyroxine).

T3 has three iodine molecules, and T4 has four. Every cell in the body needs the thyroid hormones T3 and T4 to produce energy.

T4 is made from the amino acid tyrosine and regulates the amount of T3 produced. T3 plays a more prominent role in metabolism.

ree

Symptoms of iodine deficiency

Dr. Edward group:

Many people have a selenium deficiency because the soil is depleted. Selenium is also found in the thyroid gland. A selenium deficiency worsens the symptoms of iodine deficiency. See article

Here are only symptoms of iodine deficiency

Reduced brain function

Studies have demonstrated the correlation between iodine deficiency and cognitive function. A 2009 study even found that iodine supplementation in children with mild deficiency helped improve their perceptual reasoning . See article

***What is perceptual reasoning

It improves the ability to analyze a problem, organize thoughts, devise solutions, and test them. Processing speed – increasing attention to quickly scan, process, and visually organize information.

Slowed metabolism

An iodine deficiency can lead to a reduced ability to convert food into usable nutrients. This can lead to a slow metabolism, weight gain, and constipation. See article

Lowered immunity

The thyroid gland and the immune system are connected, so if the thyroid gland doesn't get enough iodine, the immune system weakens. This can cause people with iodine deficiency symptoms to be more likely to catch colds and the flu. See article

Emotionally upset and anxious

Due to the relationship between iodine and hormone balance, an iodine deficiency disrupts hormone receptors and communication. This can lead to emotional imbalances, anxiety, and a lack of sexual interest.

Breast cysts, pain and heaviness

A study published in the Canadian Journal of Surgery found that 70 percent of patients who received iodine supplements showed improvement in their fibrocystic breast disease. See article

This has led to speculation about whether there's a link between iodine deficiency and breast cancer, although more research is needed. However, it is known that there is a link between iodine deficiency in women and breast tenderness associated with the menstrual cycle.

Iodine detoxifies your organs

Iodine is important for detoxifying your body and organs. An iodine deficiency can impair the detoxification capacity of organs and even lead to organ failure.

Improper thyroid function

The New England Journal of Medicine reported a link between iodine intake and thyroid disorders. When the thyroid gland isn't functioning properly, it causes a whole host of symptoms.

Symptoms include:

-Fatigue

-Exhaustion

-Swollen eyes

-Disturbed digestion

-Muscle pain

-Depression

-Weight gain

-Swelling

-Memory disorder

-Dry skin

-Brittle nails

-Sensitivity to cold

-Hair loss

-High cholesterol

-Low immunity

Symptoms of iodine deficiency

Iodine is a better, healthier and safer antibiotic than all others

Dr. Mark Sircus:

Book: Healing with Iodine (pages 3 + 4 + 5)

Many researchers find iodine to be more effective than antibiotics. Many women develop vaginal yeast infections after taking antibiotics (because their normal bacterial balance is disrupted by the antibiotics).

Antibiotics cause bacteria to grow faster in the intestines instead of inhibiting them . This is why conventional doctors say people are resistant to antibiotics. Not taking iodine as a first line of defense against infection is practically suicide, writes Dr. Mark Sircus. Fungal and yeast infections are a precursor to cancer, which is why many doctors recommend iodine to prevent and fight cancer.

Since 40% of all cancers are thought to be related to and caused by infections, the topic of antibiotics needs to be addressed and there is a need to search for safer and more effective life-sustaining agents.

Iodine can kill 90% of bacteria on the skin within 1.5 minutes and yet conventional doctors still prescribe antibiotics that are ineffective and cause serious damage.

Iodine is an excellent disinfectant. You can disinfect any surface or material with iodine. Iodine is an excellent microbial killer, yet many people use chemical disinfectants that are actually harmful.

Dr. Derry states that iodine works well against "standard hospital pathogens like staph."

Iodine has no bacterial resistance.

Iodine is able to kill all kinds of pathogens

23 Facts and Benefits of Iodine

Dr. Edward Group

1- Iodine is an essential element for the thyroid gland

The thyroid gland produces hormones to regulate metabolism and cellular function. The two most important hormones, triiodothyronine (T3) and thyroxine (T4), require iodine for their production. Without iodine, the thyroid gland produces too little of these hormones, leading to hypothyroidism and other metabolic disorders.

Toxins can disrupt thyroid function. See this blog post for six common toxins that disrupt the thyroid gland.

Of course, there are many more toxins that disrupt the thyroid gland.

If you go to a regular doctor, they'll prescribe medications with even more chemicals and synthetics, which will cause chronic thyroid dysfunction. As soon as you have a thyroid problem, it's recommended to thoroughly detox. Also, address the underlying cause.

Eating foods that contain sufficient iodine is essential for supporting your overall thyroid health. The thyroid gland, located in the neck, needs iodine to produce metabolic hormones used throughout the body.

2- Iodine deficiency and breast cancer are linked

Breast cancer has a number of causes; it has multifactorial causes. Iodine supplementation isn't really a cancer preventative, but researchers have shown a link between breast cancer and thyroid disorders. See article .

The thyroid and breasts require iodine to function properly. People in countries with a higher consumption of iodine-rich foods, especially women who eat seaweed, experience these problems less often. Consuming sufficient iodine and selenium can reduce and prevent breast cancer. See article .

3- Iodine is a natural antibiotic

Iodine used to be effective as an antibiotic. It's natural and very good for the intestines, detoxifies heavy metals and other toxins, decalcifies your pineal gland, and contains fluoride, a powerful antimicrobial and antiseptic mineral, etc.

Iodine was discovered in 1811 by the French scientist Bernard Courtois .

Iodine was discovered by Bernard Courtois, who was experimenting with seaweed. He burned it, and thus developed iodine.

In 1829 there was a French doctor Lugol who developed the ''Lugol Solution''.

He discovered that iodine could bind to a potassium molecule produced in water solution. This has antiseptic properties. Lugol's solution is therefore potassium iodine.

In the early and mid-1900s, when Lugol's iodine solution was available, they used iodine as an antibiotic. The antibiotics they sell today didn't exist back then.

Since the pharmaceutical industry came to power, they have been selling modified antibiotics that cause serious and permanent damage.

Modern antibiotics are man-made in a laboratory. They are synthetic and have harmful effects.

ree

4- Iodine helps fight harmful organisms

Iodine has been used for centuries to combat harmful organisms. Iodine kills fungi and yeasts such as candida. See article

Many hospitals also use iodine to maintain a sterile environment. See article

5- Iodine protects the thyroid gland against radiation

During a nuclear event, radiation in the form of iodine-131 can be released into the air. Exposure to this radioactive isotope can lead to thyroid damage and hypothyroidism. See article

The only way to protect the thyroid is to take non-radioactive iodine, such as atomic iodine, to flood the thyroid with a healthy, stable isotope. This prevents the thyroid from absorbing the radioactive iodine.

Potassium iodide has been used to help people exposed to radioactive iodine released during nuclear events, such as Chernobyl or Fukushima. Potassium iodide works by supplying the thyroid gland with a safe form of iodine and preventing radioactive iodine ions from being absorbed by the thyroid gland.

6- Iodine stimulates detoxification in your thyroid and pineal glands

A healthy iodine level prevents toxic chemicals such as fluoride, phosphoric acid, chlorine, and bromine from disrupting thyroid function. See article

Exposure to these chemicals is common because they're found in food, dental products, personal care products, water, and household chemicals. Iodine supplementation helps prevent these chemical toxins from building up in the body . Iodine can flush these toxins out of the body.

Dr. Mark Sircus writes in his book (healing with iodine): (page 66)

Iodine is the only option for removing toxic halogens from the thyroid and pineal glands. The halogen group consists of elements such as fluorine (F), chlorine (Cl), and bromine (Br).

Your pineal gland is also your third eye. Your third eye represents your awareness. Heavy metals and haloids (halogens) disrupt the functioning of your pineal gland. The most common toxins that poison your pineal gland are: fluoride, mercury, lead, aluminum, bromide, chloride, and chlorine poisoning.

Heavy metals and halogens (especially Fluoride, Mercury) calcify (poison) the pineal gland and therefore many people are much less conscious in life.

Iodine intake immediately increases the excretion of bromide, fluoride, and some heavy metals such as mercury and lead.

Dr. Klingardt (physician) explains very well the function of the pineal gland. There are four common substances to which the pineal gland is very sensitive (aluminum, fluoride, glyphosate, and radiation).

The man explains the connection between Pinocchio and your third eye. Very well explained. If the video is censored, you can find it on Rumble.

7- Medications disrupt iodine-thyroid function

Medications that (synthetically) mimic iodine can disrupt thyroid function. Toxins can also interfere with iodine absorption in the thyroid gland. Some medications, such as amiodarone , can lead to hyperthyroidism (the overproduction of thyroid hormones). See article .

Other drugs that can affect thyroid hormone metabolism include interferon and dopamine . See article

8- Iodized salt is NOT a good source of iodine

Most table salt is iodized to supposedly reduce iodine deficiency. Unfortunately, table salt contains artificial additives and other chemicals, making it a very harmful salt. Furthermore, most table salt is bleached to make it white.

Table salt is strongly discouraged due to its highly toxic ingredients. See this blog post where four doctors explain the toxins table salt contains.

It's better to buy natural salt and choose organic sea food and/or supplements to nourish your body with iodine.

9- Iodine deficiency remains a major concern

Much of the world still struggles with iodine deficiency. See article

While many developing countries lack sufficient iodine in their diets, people in Western countries are increasingly at risk of iodine deficiency due to diets based on processed foods.

Various causes of iodine deficiency:

-Do not absorb iodine through food

-Iodine-poor soil

-Eating too much processed food that doesn't contain iodine

-Toxins: Processed foods can introduce toxic compounds that interfere with the body's absorption of iodine.

ree

10- There are many good dietary sources of iodine

Most iodine-rich foods come from the sea. Sea vegetables such as dulse seaweed, kelp, arame, kombu, nori, sea palm, and wakame are some of the richest sources of iodine.

Other sources include fish, seafood, eggs, raw milk, dark leafy greens, and plums. Avoid foods from the Chinese Sea.

11- Iodine rejuvenates the skin from within!

Iodine promotes healthy skin, nails, and hair. See article

It stimulates cellular function, resulting in skin cell regeneration. Iodine can effectively rejuvenate the skin from within. It promotes a smooth complexion, shiny hair, and strong nails.

ree

12- Pregnancy worsens iodine deficiency

During pregnancy, women need larger amounts of iodine to meet their daily needs. This is important for supporting fetal development. If not managed properly, a mild iodine deficiency can cause thyroid imbalance and hypothyroidism, which can become a chronic problem even after delivery. It can also harm the baby. See article

Autism linked to iodine deficiency during pregnancy

Iodine deficiency has long been known to be a serious problem in pregnant women. It can not only be harmful to the mother, but also causes permanent damage to the fetus, particularly to the brain. Preeclampsia, a life-threatening condition that can affect pregnant women, has been linked to hypothyroidism. See article

Autism is also linked to heavy metals. Heavy metal poisoning is usually caused by vaccines.

Proper thyroid function is crucial during pregnancy. Of particular concern is the link between iodine deficiency and autism. The American Thyroid Association now urges pregnant women to take iodine supplements, especially for their children's mental health. See article .

13- Insufficient iodine leads to delayed development

Health authorities discovered years ago that iodine deficiency, especially during fetal growth, leads to intellectual and developmental disabilities. It has been shown that iodine supplementation after birth and during childhood does not counteract the effects of iodine deficiency in the womb. See article .

Maintaining adequate iodine levels during pregnancy (and supplementing as needed) is an essential way to support proper brain development.

14- "Iodine allergies" are not caused by iodine

As I've said in previous videos, conventional doctors are making us sick through lies and misinformation. Everything that's healthy and vital to the human body is labeled unhealthy by conventional doctors. Iodine is found in every cell and is vital to the human body.

Most allergies attributed to iodine result from a reaction to the iodine-based radiocontrast media "dye" used to sharpen images from x-rays or CT scans. Is this iodine synthetic? Also, "iodine allergies" associated with seafood occur as reactions to proteins in the seafood, not to iodine.

ree

15- Works as a sterilizing agent

Whether used in the hospital or in your everyday first aid kit, many sterilization products contain iodine. It's an effective wound cleanser that eliminates germs on the skin and is often applied before and after surgery. See article

16-Supports normal metabolism

If you have an overactive thyroid, your metabolism may speed up, which can lead to weight loss and other problems. If you have an underactive thyroid, the opposite can happen, leading to weight gain. Normal iodine levels ensure smooth thyroid function, which in turn regulates metabolism. See article

Iodine is a vasodilator, meaning it promotes normal blood flow; it can also warm the body and stabilize heart rate. If you're trying to boost your metabolism, your iodine intake is just one factor to consider.

17-Iodine is important for the health of your breasts

Extensive research is being conducted on the role of iodine in breast health and function. In addition to the thyroid gland, breast tissue contains large amounts of iodine.

Iodine is an essential nutrient for healthy growth and brain development in children. It is passed on to infants through breast milk. Because many breastfeeding mothers are iodine deficient, it's especially important to be aware of your nutritional intake. Ensure you get enough nutrients. See article

ree

18-Iodine promotes ovarian health

Research shows that there is a possible link between iodine deficiency and ovarian problems, such as cysts and other reproductive problems.

Interestingly, low iodine intake is thought to trigger a cascade of hormone changes leading to a hyperestrogenic state, which is linked to poor ovarian, endometrial, and breast health. See article

19- Iodine improves neurological health

Babies and young children can experience mental deficiencies and disabilities due to iodine deficiency. See article

As a preventive measure, it is important that mothers get enough of this micronutrient during pregnancy and breastfeeding. See article

If this isn't feasible with food alone, I recommend using a safe and effective iodine supplement.

20- Iodine supports vaginal balance

A povidone iodine solution can reduce vaginal irritation, itching, and discharge associated with recurring yeast imbalances, with excellent success rates. See article

ree

21- Iodine promotes eye health

An iodine deficiency can cause dry eyes, and iodine is used to treat a variety of eye conditions. Because iodine is a broad-spectrum antiseptic, it is used worldwide to prevent blindness in newborns. Povidone-iodine drops are often used before and after surgery to keep germs out of the eyes and prevent infection.

22- Iodine promotes healthy skin and hair

Iodine is often included in skincare products to help promote a clear complexion. Iodine is also a nutrient that supports healthy-looking hair. See article

In fact, healthy skin, teeth, and bone development all depend on normal thyroid hormone levels, which depend on adequate iodine intake. See article

Iodine for hair loss

Some hair loss, commonly considered a part of being male, may actually be a symptom of iodine deficiency. This isn't a new theory, as sheep farmers have known for centuries that a lack of iodine can result in a shortage of poor-quality wool. If you're experiencing hair loss, you may simply need iodine supplements.

23- Powerful antioxidant

In terms of antioxidant activity, iodine is as effective as vitamin C. It is a particularly potent antioxidant for the blood. Read more about the benefits of iodine as an antioxidant. This article contains several research articles on iodine as an antioxidant. See the article .

ree

Who is at risk for iodine deficiency?

-Pregnant woman

-Children

-People who live far from the ocean

-People who follow a diet rich in goitrogenic foods

-People who don't eat seafood or dairy products

Pregnant women are vulnerable because of the importance of iodine for the developing baby, which increases their daily iodine needs.

Children also need iodine for proper brain and bone development. In recent years, dairy products are increasingly less considered a good source of iodine, as fewer dairy farmers are using iodine-containing solutions to sterilize their equipment, which ends up in the milk supply.

People who follow diets very high in goitrogens are also at risk of developing iodine deficiency. These are foods that reduce iodine uptake by the thyroid gland.

Foods containing goitrogens include cassava, millet, mustard, peanuts, and cruciferous vegetables like broccoli, cabbage, and Brussels sprouts. However, keep in mind that cruciferous vegetables contain many health-promoting nutrients when consumed as part of a balanced diet.

ree
