Foreword
As you know, I've started an online store selling organic herbs, salts, teas, clays, resins, dental products, and more. We're so bombarded with toxins that's why I started the online store. I want to make people as healthy as possible. And the online store with organic ingredients was a brilliant idea.
I sell quite a lot of salts in my webshop, but what types of salts are there?
What types of salts are there?
1-Sea salt
2-Flake Salt (Fleur de Sel)
3-Salt from Rivers or Lakes
4-Rock salt
5-Smoked salt
6-Natural salt with natural additives
7-Culinary salt that has cleansing and purifying effects.
8-Table salt (processed salt)
Discussion of types of salts:
1-Sea salt
Usually by evaporation. Distillation is the most commonly used technique for seawater desalination. The principle is simple: seawater is heated until it evaporates, after which the pure water vapor condenses again. The salts do not evaporate and remain behind.
Examples of sea salt:
1-Italy: Sicilian salt
2-France: Celtic salt (FINE + COARSE)
3-Hawaii: Red Hawaiian Salt
4-Hawaii: black lava salt
5-Hawaii: Bamboo Jade Green Salt
6-Africa: African pearl salt (Namibia)
7-Denmark: Druid smoke salt (made in the Viking style)

2-Flake salt (Fleur de sel = flower of salt)
Flake salt is known for its crystalline structure.
Flake salt is usually made from salt rivers, salt lakes, or the sea. Flake salt is scooped by hand. No machinery or toxic substances are used.
The production of this unique salt is quite special. The brine is evaporated in closed pans. Salt crystals form on the surface of this water and are carefully collected by hand. The salt content of this salt is low.
Flake salt cannot be produced from salt that wasn't initially in liquid form. This is because flake salt is obtained by evaporating a brine solution. Sea salt flakes are extracted from seawater. Seawater is evaporated in special pans. As evaporation continues, salt crystals begin to form on the water's surface. These crystals are called sea flake salt.
Flake salt is hand-harvested from saltwater and has an irregular shape, often with unique large flat, square crystals that are beautiful.
Compared to granulated salt, flake salt adheres to food better, dissolves faster, and mixes more evenly. It does, however, have a lower mineral content.
It is also highly sought after by chefs and culinary experts in kitchens around the world for its 'squeezable' texture, which means it is easier to crush between your fingertips and offers better control over the seasoning.
Examples of salt flakes:
1-Greece: Greek flower of salt (fleur de sel)
2-Greece: Cyprus pyramid Yellow salt (lemon-like flavour).
3-Greece: Cyprus pyramid Smoked salt
4-Greece: Cyprus pyramid black salt (Activated carbon)
5-Pakistan: Indian Sun Flakes
6-Portugal: Portuguese salt
7-Norway: Havanso salt flakes
8-Australia: Murray River south

3-Salt from rivers or lakes
Some seas can contain heavy metals and other substances. Therefore, don't eat sea salt every day. Alternate with rock salt, river salt, and/or lake salt.
Salt from rivers or lakes is isolated from the sea. This is therefore very pure salt.
Examples of salt from rivers or lakes
-Peru: Inca salt (Andes Mountains)
-Australia: Murray River Salt

4-Rock Salt
Rock salt is the common name for halite. It's a rock rather than a mineral, which makes it different from other salts.
What is rock salt?
It is an unrefined, mineral form of sodium chloride, which is consumed as table salt.
Rock salt is usually colorless, gray, or almost black, and is rarely found in white or translucent white, but depending on how it is processed, it can be gray, yellow, red, blue, or green.
Rock salt is the purest form of salt: unprocessed and raw, free of environmental pollutants and chemical components. "It contains 84 of the 92 trace elements the body needs, including potassium, iron, calcium, zinc, magnesium, copper, and so on. According to Ayurveda, it is a superior salt," says Dr. Ashutosh Gautam, Clinical Operations and Coordination Manager at Baidyanath. See blog
Rock salt is a natural mineral that has been used for centuries to keep food fresh. Today, rock salt is a cost-effective and productive solution in a variety of industries, including chemical, textile, healthcare, and ice management, as well as for household use.
Where does rock salt come from?
Rock salt is found all over the world. Iran has the best and most varieties of rock salt.
Rock salt mines were formed by the evaporation of large saltwater deposits such as oceans or lakes. These mines are located approximately 1,200 meters (3,937 feet) below sea level or deeper.
Deposits occur around dry lakes, marginal inland seas, and enclosed bays and estuaries in arid regions (salt mines) of the world.
At various times in the geological past, very large bodies of water (such as the Mediterranean Sea and a huge body of water where the Atlantic Ocean is now) also evaporated, forming enormous deposits of rock salt.
We know the sea contains microplastics and heavy metals. But rock salt was formed long before we had those pollutants. They are truly underground salt mines and salt mountains.
What is rock salt made of?
Because rock salt is a natural mineral, it is not manufactured but mined, yet it can be processed and prepared for various purposes. The ions "Na" (sodium) and "Cl" (chlorine) form the rock salt formula. In its purest form, it consists of approximately 40% sodium and 60% chlorine.
The purity of the rock salt extracted from each mine varies depending on the geological richness of the rock salt deposit. In its natural state, rock salt can also contain over 80 different minerals, including iron (Fe), sulfur (S), magnesium (Mg), calcium (Ca), and potassium (K).
Processed rock salt is harmful to health.
Examples of rock salt:
1-India: Himalayan salt
2-South America-Bolivia: Bolivian rose salt
3-Austria: Alpine salt
4-Iran: Persian blue salt
5-Iran: Red salt
6-Iran: Orange salt
7-Iran: Orange Yellow salt
8-Iran: White crystal salt

Salt mines in Iran
Iran has many types of rock salt. According to one study, there were 10 different kinds. It is the purest salt mine in the world .
See photos below of salt types and salt mines in Iran.

5-Smoked salt
Only about 5% of all smoked salt is actually smoked. Most smoked salts are mixed with smoke flavorings. These flavorings are usually synthetic. While the salt may be pure, the flavorings are toxic.
So, when you buy smoked salt, make sure it's not flavored, but smoked naturally over pure wood. The salt they choose must also be pure.
Examples of smoked salt smoked on wood
1-Greece: Cyprus pyramid Smoked salt (Greek salt is very pure salt)
2-Denmark: Druid smoke salt

Right: Denmark: Druid smoke salt
6-Natural salt with natural additives
If you buy salt with added flavorings, make sure they aren't artificial. They're usually synthetic, unless they clearly state that natural herbs have been added.
Don't be misled by propaganda that it's natural salt and then they add synthetic substances. Very few salts contain natural additives.
Examples of Natural salt with natural additives
1-Greece: Cyprus pyramid Yellow salt (Natural lemon).
2-Greece: Cyprus pyramid Smoked salt (Smoked on wood)
3-Greece: Cyprus pyramid black salt (Activated carbon)
4-Hawaii: Red Hawaiian salt (Red clay)
5-Hawaii: Black lava salt (Activated charcoal)
6-Korea: Bamboo salt (Roasted with red clay and bamboo)
7-Denmark: Druid smoke salt (smoked on wood)

Greece: Cyprus pyramid yellow salt with lemon
7-Culinary salt that has cleansing and purifying effects
There are some special salts to which natural ingredients have been added, giving them a distinctive color and aroma. They also look beautiful in culinary settings.
But they also have a cleansing effect and are good for digestion. Activated charcoal and all types of clay, for example, have a cleansing effect. There are many blogs online about the health benefits and cleansing effects of these raw materials.
The salt with the most cleansing effects is bamboo salt. And then numbers 2, 3, and 4.
Examples of Culinary Salt that has cleansing and purifying effects
1-Korea: Bamboo salt (High pH of 9.9 + red clay + bamboo)
2-Greece: Cyprus pyramid black salt (Activated carbon)
4-Hawaii: black lava salt (Activated charcoal)
3-Hawaii: Red Hawaiian Salt (Red Clay)

8-Processed table salt or table salt with added iodine
I've written a blog post about the harms of table salt. It's too much to list. If you want to stay healthy, I recommend you stop eating chemically processed table salt immediately. It's incredibly harmful to your health. Four doctors share their concerns.
In the blog you will read that table salt contains many toxic substances such as heavy metals, microplastics, fluoride, synthetic chlorine, glass, sand, synthetic iodine, anti-caking agents, toxic amounts of potassium iodide and aluminium derivatives, forms of sodium solo-co-aluminate.
Other salts contain ingredients like processed white sugar (a waste product and highly addictive) and toxic MSG (monosodium glutamate). This makes table salt highly addictive. What many people also don't know is that table salt is made from crude oil extract.
That's why they call this salt "FAKE SALT".
Natural unprocessed salt is pure and contains various minerals and sodium which is very important for our health
Health problems caused by table salt
This causes your cells to swell, leading to high blood pressure, heart and blood vessel problems, damaging your veins, damaging your thyroid gland, creating cancer, acidifying your body, etc.
You may also develop other problems such as goiter development, edema, overloaded elimination systems, muscle cramps, water retention, stroke, heart failure, PMS, and even serious nervous system disorders such as anxiety and depression.
Table salt is particularly damaging to both the circulatory and nervous systems. It also wreaks havoc on the delicate balance of the body's lymphatic system. Conditions like diabetes, gout, and obesity are exacerbated by this fake salt.
That's why I started searching for natural salts from around the world. I now sell about 20 types of natural salts that promote health.
Example of table salt with fluoride. This is truly shocking!
Read the blog about the history and serious harm of fluoride

Fluoride is highly neurotoxic, and it's synthetic iodine. If you want to stay healthy, I recommend avoiding this salt.

We sell on the Healthy World News webshop 21 types of Natural Salts from all over the world.
