What are Nootropic Herbs
Nootropics plants are a diverse group of natural herbs, shrubs, plants, some trees and vines that can improve cognitive (brain) skills especially in cases where these functions are weakened or impaired.
In many cases, nootropic plants strengthen red blood cells and inhibit their clotting, which improves blood flow to the brain.
Many of these Nootropic plants possess antioxidant activity that protects brain tissue from neurotoxicity and improves oxygen supply to the brain.
They can induce the synthesis of neuronal proteins, nucleic acids and phospholipids for the construction and repair of neurohormonal membranes.
Most nootropics require prolonged use at optimal doses before measurable improvement occurs, but they are generally very well tolerated. Their psychoactive properties are not produced by a single molecule, but by a synergistic combination of several compounds.
According to this research, nootropic plants have significant potential therapeutic benefits.
History
Herbal medicines have been used since ancient times to prevent and treat diseases, as well as to promote human spiritual well-being
The term "nootropic" was first used by Prof. Dr. Corneliu E. Giurgea in 1972/1973 to describe substances that primarily activate cognitive functions such as memory and learning, especially in situations where these functions are impaired.
The name is composed of two Greek words, nöos, meaning "thinking ," and tropein , meaning "suffering ." Nootropic drugs influence cognitive function through various physiological pathways, but their effects usually take a longer time to manifest.
Benefits of nootropic plants
